OUR COMPANY HISTORY
Sep. 2023 - The Foundation
In September 2023, The Hup joined forces with Dirk Jan Koekkoek to found FIRMC. They recognised the potential of a firm built on finance, risk, and data consulting for financial institutions, with a strong people-approach at its core. We set our first strategic roadmap and took on our first project at a major Dutch bank, on BCBS 239 implementation. We closed the year as a team of 3 consultants.2024 - The Year We Professionalised
2024 was about turning ambition into a real, scalable firm. We invested in our processes, our people, and our identity, building the foundations for sustainable growth. By year end, our team had grown to 8 consultants, ready for what came next.2025 - Expanding and Elevating
2025 was a year of growth. A strategy session in January aligned our priorities across the organisation, and new partnerships brought international talent and sharper marketing. In September we merged with Solid Professionals Consultant, led by Jeroen van der Sluis, adding young talent alongside our senior consultants and a defined career path from consultant to principal.
We deepened ties with ABN AMRO, Rabobank, ING, NIBC Bank, and Optiver, working on BCBS 239, risk modelling, regulatory reporting, and AI implementation.
2026 - Scaling Up
In 2026, we're deepening relationships with existing clients and sharpening our sales strategy across major and smaller Dutch banks and financial institutions. We're also continuing to invest in recruitment and in the personal development of the people already on our team.
Deadlines matter, but what drives us is the strength of our client relationships and the quality of the work behind them. With internal teams now in place, we carry that same proactive spirit into the next chapter.
